In 1958, Sears and Irene Lyons took over the business and called
it Lyons Tap. Irene began selling hamburgers for
a quarter, grilling them two or three at a time in a small electric
frying pan. Her husband introduced tap beer. Their innovations soon
required a bigger grill and a walk-in beer cooler.
Bert and Bonnie Notermann bought the restaurant in November of 1977.

name to Lions Tap. When they bought the place it was a good-going

bistros, burger entrepreneurs Bert and Bonnie Notermann are still
making your basic burger. Lions Tap - it's a landmark. Itís a tradition.
